the forked stems which resemble a chicken "wishbone". |

Flowers: Five red-violet sepals, 1/2 inch long and look
like
petals. Is night- pollinated so they open in mid afternoon. |

Leaf: Opposite each other on stems, 1 inch long, oval to
heart shaped. |
