Plant: Perennial, woody at the base, 3 to 6 feet tall,
whitish with
hairs that lie along the stem. |

Flowers: Few in open collections, petals white lined with
lavender,
1/2 to 1 inch long. Stamens extend well beyond the petals. |

Leaf: Oblong, 1-1/4 to 4 inches long with scalloped edges. |

Use by Indians: |
Seeds and young stalks were eaten raw. leaves
were used to disguise hunters scent. Smoke was
used inceremonies.
