Plant:   This tall thin biennial herb may grow up to 5-6 feet tall.  Stalk and flowers appear the second year. Densely hairy with a "camphor" odor. Common
Flowers: Yellow like a sunflower.
Leaf:  Fuzzy, somewhat sticky, rather pleasant-smelling. First year leaf shown on right.
Flowering period:   January to December
Use by Indians:  Stems used as arrow shafts.
