Some Common Plants of Upper Newport Bay

Pineapple Weed  (Chamomilla suaveolens)
Plant: Annual, erect, branched, leafy, 4 to 12 inches tall. Sweet-smelling like pineapple.
Flowers: Yellow-green in heads at the ends of branches, 1/4 inch long.
Leaf: Alternate on stems, 3/8 to 2 inches long.  Finely divided into linear segments.
Flowering period:   May to September
