Some Common Plants of Upper Newport Bay

Peruvian Pepper Tree  (Schinus molle)
Plant: Deciduous spreading, weeping, evergreen tree, 15 to 30 feet tall with slender twigs with gnarled bark, roots tend to be surface rooted. 
Flowers: Yellowish white in drooping clusters 4 to 6 inches long.
Fruit: Rose colored clusters of berries.
Leaf: Compound leafs with linear leaflets up to 3 inches long.
Flowering period:   June to August
