Plant: Perennial with a woody base that grows to 8 to 14 inches tall.
Flowers: Many small pale violet with white bracts on a branching stem 8 to 14 inches tall.  
Leaf: Produced at ground level,  egg shaped, 2 to 6 inches long on long stems. Leathery with wavey edges. No leaves on flower stems.
Flowering period:   July to December
