Flowers: Solitary in leaf axils, white, 4 to 8 inches
long flared at the top, 5 toothed, ribbed toward base.

Fruit: Ovoid to 1-1/2 inches long densely prickly.

Leaf: Alternate on stems, 2 to 8 inches long on stems
half as long, smooth to slightly wavy edges.
