Bristly Ox-Tongue  (Picris echioides)
Plant: Coarse bristly, branched biennial herb, 1 1/2 to 4 feet tall.  Common
Flowers: Yellow flower heads on auxiliary branches 2 to 3 inches long.
Leaf: Alternate, oblong,  without stem, coarse toothed with short spines on the upper surface.
Flowering period:   June to December
