(4 person) Private Kayak Tour
Description: Join an NBC certified naturalist out on the water for a private guided kayak tour. During your 2 hour tour, you will be provided a paddling and safety introduction as well as information on the ecology and natural history of Upper Newport Bay. All equipment is provided, including a personal floatation device (PFD) which is required to be worn at all times on the water. All equipment is cleaned with biodegradable, soapy water prior to use. Tour time is two hours, however this includes the time to get prepared and to put away equipment. This is a relaxed, take it at your own pace, kind of experience!
Ages/Ability: The minimum age to kayak is 8 years old. Children 8-12 must ride with an adult (18+). Teens 13-17 can ride alone or together, but a parent/guardian does need to be on site. It is expected that all participants will have the physical fitness to help carry kayaks, paddle unassisted, and understand commands on the water that are necessary for safety. Weight capacity for single kayak is 360 lbs, tandem kayak is 500 lbs total. If you have concerns or questions about the abilities necessary to safely kayak, please contact Carissa Macias at email@example.com prior to purchase.
Booking your Tour: Once purchased, you will receive a downloadable certificate to use in redeeming your tour for anytime within a year of purchase. Tours must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance, and are subject to availability. Tours can be cancelled up to the day of your tour for inclement weather (heavy rain, lightning, wind), water quality closures, County health closures, and personal illness. In the event of a cancellation, your tour will be rescheduled or a full refund will be provided.
